This training seminar is an intensive, preparatory, and enjoyable introduction to the mediation process, including material on conflict theory, communication skills, emotion and conflict, power balance and coping with the unexpected. The training is designed to leave the participants with the following:

  • An enhanced ability to transform conflicts into opportunities for empowerment.
  • A greater understanding and ability to effectively facilitate and mediate between the parties in dispute.
  • An increased ability to recognize and work with expressed and unexpressed feelings in conflict.

Vrajalila devi dasi is an initiated member of ISKCON since 1979. She has served under the guidance of HH Bhakti Tirtha Swami since receiving initiation at the New Vrindavan Community. Vrajalila received her BS from the University of California at Berkeley and her MBA from New York University. As a consultant she offers seminars and workshops in the private and government sectors on “Conflict Resolution”, “Team Building”, “Stress and Time Management”, and “Appreciating Diversity”.

In February 2002, the United States Aid for International Development Office of Transitional Initiatives (US A.I.D/ OTI) hired her as a senior conflict resolution trainer for over 1,200 people in six major cities in Nigeria. The training concept was “Training for Trainers”. She co-authored training manuals for US AID/OTI’s use for conflict resolution workshops.
